Kinsley is one of Ella's new friends here in Minnesota! I've actually taken their pictures before back in Lubbock...where they are originally from. Once I found out we were moving here, I IMMEDIATELY called her Mom, Kristi, for all the details about Rochester. She has been a life savor for me! SO thankful I met her at THIS photo shoot and so sad she already will already be leaving me in a year to head back to Texas. We won't go into that though. She let me take a few pictures of Kinsley for her THIRD birthday. Luckily we had Ella there to shake her booty and make K laugh :)

Yes, we have finally moved and are ALMOST settled in here, in Rochester, MN. I have been super busy with all the moving stuff and I am JUST about done unpacking and decorating. Thanks GOODNESS. We were sad to leave TEXAS but we are so excited to see what Minnesota has in store for us.Soon I will post some pictures of our new house and all it's glory but until then her's the outside :) This was taken back in April, the grass is actually green now!

I know, I know! It's been MONTHS since I have posted here. Fourth year of medical school and a second baby took a major toll on Me and our family! Now it's almost April and we are moving from Lubbock to Rochester, Minnesota in a little over 2 months! I can't believe my husband's medical school journey is finally coming to an end here in Lubbock! He recently matched to Mayo Clinic in Rochester Minnesota for an Internal Medicine Residency so we will be moving there for the next three years. I've got a few things scheduled coming up and several personal things I need to blog. I have been obsessively cleaning and getting stuff ready to move these last couple of weeks to get the house ready to be sold. We finally listed it today! A while back we took Brigette's kids out for a photoshoot, but Mr. Coby wasn't having it at ALL. We decided to give it another try and I brought Ella along to help make smile and be happy - mostly because we thought maybe he would just be happier and not be as "scared" of my camera and me! I think it worked!! I have more to post of all 3 kids and will get to that soon!

After a little bit of time "off", I am finally back and a lot more "alive". Things around our household got a little bit overwhelming with all the traveling for the holidays and for my husband's residency interviews. We are finally home, and I think for good (for right now at least). I am getting our lives back to our normal routine AND I got to photograph a precious family this weekend!

Allison just recently turned one in December, and I am so glad her Mommy let me take her/their pictures. Big Sister Cora is in Ella's preschool class, so she was a bit jealous when she found out I got to hang out with her and her family.

Pearl is always SOOO much fun to take pictures of! This girl seems to always be in the best mood and is always soo happy! She is one of Ella's best friends! I have taken her pictures a few times, and I have even taken her brother Coby's before too! Coby wasn't having it with me yesterday though. We are thinking he was sick because usually he is so happy! We plan to try again, but this time we plan to bring Ella to cheer him up :)

A Texas Tech Kind of Day...

I always have a few people who want to get their photos taken on Tech campus but I think the last 5 or 6 persons I have spoken to have requested pictures on campus! It just worked out that these two families were on the same day and wanted none other than campus for their picture scenery. It really is a gorgeous campus so I always enjoy going there! Both families were super cute and a joy to work with :)

Last weekend we were in our home town and were actually able to attend a family member's birthday party. While we were there, Chance's cousin, Ashley, asked me if I could take a few pictures of her sweet little family...of course I was like YESS! Anytime I get to use my camera, I am ECSTATIC. Both of my kids and my husband hate the thing so I never use it at home! Mr. Graham is a true charmer and I cannot get enough of all this cute faces!

Meet our wonderful neighbors, The Strattons! They have been life savers since we have lived in Lubbock...from the countless packages they have had to collect to the time where Chance forgot to get someone to come mow our lawn while we were gone for like 3 weeks and Lance had to mow the jungle that appeared in the front yard (the backyard was ridiculous so I can only imagine what he saw and why he did it- embarrassing)!

Ella is obsessed with "Cindy" (it's really Sydney but Chance and I call her Cindy now too because Ella cannot and WILL NOT even try to say Sydney :). From the time she wakes up until the time she goes to bed EVERY NIGHT she asks about her... Where is Cindy. Is Cindy at school? What time does she get out of school? Does Cindy have to do homework after school? What time is she done with her homework? What homework does she have to do today? Why does Cindy go to school all day? Cindy is my best friend! She is my neighbor! Can Cindy come and play? Those are seriously just a couple of the things she says. I wish Cindy didn't go to school as much and never had homework so she could come over more! haha Ella cannot get enough of her...it's insane! I am definitely thankful for Sydney though! She keeps Ella busy and when she comes in from playing, she is more than ready for bed :)

Thanks so much for being such wonderful neighbors! We will be very sad when (and if) we move in May! I am so glad you let me take your pictures! I had so much fun and seriously could not choose my favorites. If my computer wasn't sooooo slow tonight, I would still be choosing!!

This is such a fun family. They have such high spirits and let nothing bother them. I love photographing these kiddoes because, well, they are just PRECIOUS.

I got a lot of this last night... ummm PRECIOUS. She wanted nothing to do with me or any of my ideas but looked so cute doing it, so of course didn't mind!

Little did she knows, she accidentally did a perfect "model" pose.

He seems well-trained in having his pictures taken...

because he definitely was ready to play when it was time!

These two little ones definitely made me work on Saturday :) She turned it on quickly though and was a great model. Ayden (not sure on spelling?)was definitely Mr. Bashful! He was not having anything to do with pictures until I told him to run and give his Mommy some kisses...him running to her was the quickest thing I got these two to do all morning! It was precious! Thanks Vanessa for trusting me again! I had fun and can't wait to hang out again!!

BTW- Sorry for being so MIA lately. With Ella I NEVER realized how much time a baby takes up...having this one has been insane! I never have time to do anything anymore! He is getting easier and Ella started pre-school so hopefully I will have more time to post more pictures! I have lots of personal pictures to share, it's just hidden in the depths of my computer or stored on disks waiting to be uploaded! We have a happy and healthy baby boy at home with us! Creighton Maverick Witt was born on Tuesday, May 11th at 3:36pm. He was 6lbs. and 11oz. and 19inches long. He is a tiny little guy but he is healthy and, so far, has been the best baby ever :)I have pictures everywhere and I am trying to get them all organized so I can start posting some! Big Sister loves him and has been SUCH a big help...

Yes, my apologies... I have literally been in hiding. Every day I say I am going to blog about something and it gets put on the back burner! A while back I started having to, unfortunately, turn people away from doing their pictures. I feel great and thought I would be able to work up until the baby was born, but I had a minor complication that has limited my mobility for the last 2 months! BUMMER! I really haven't even picked up a camera.

My sweet Ella turned 3 on April 21st... I still can't believe it's already been three years! Time goes by sooo fast. We had a BIG birthday bash for her on Saturday and that is pretty much what I have been doing for the last 2 months-planning this birthday party...well not entirely! We went back and forth to Wichita Falls, had TWO baby showers, and got a nursery ready. I really have been busy :) I plan to post pictures of the party AS SOON AS I have a chance. I found out today that I will be induced on the 10th so I am in freak out/stressed mode. So much to do-so little time, but the pictures are on the top of the list, I promise. Once the little man is here, I will have millions of pictures to post. He, like Ella, will learn to hate my camera rather quickly :)

I am off to go finish cleaning my house-like I said, I am freaking out :) I will be back SOON with photos. Oh ya, while in Wichita Falls, I had my favorite photographer DeEdra take some pictures of Ella, Me, and the belly. Chance had school so he couldn't be a part of them :( Here's a cute one that shows the ever growing belly and a few of the big sister.

Such a sweet little family! That's one of the best parts about taking pictures, to me, is meeting all these new people here in Lubbock and obviously getting to photograph them in that moment in time! I have made friendships through photography and for that I am very thankful.

Brother loved his baby sister so much! He wanted to be as close to her as possible! too cute! I am loving the nice weather... it really makes me want to get outside and take more pictures, even though I am getting less mobile. 2 months to go!

Thanks Laura for letting me hang out with your cute family. Your 2 year old it too well-behaved, I am jealous ;)

Yesterday I got to meet my friend's baby, Gavin. He was over 7lbs when he was born and he was four weeks early! I think she got lucky. He was only 8 days when I met him so we went for "simple" pictures. He was an angel... slept almost the entire time and even through Ella poking and petting him :) She loves babies and definitely can't wait for hers to be here! Katie & Seth were so much fun to photograph Saturday! They were both up for any and everything, which I love! If I weren't pregnant, I would have been hiking up the hill too...Katie went up it heels and all. These two are tying the knot in May. Congrats to you both! I will be counting down the days till May with you :)

Loving the Spring Weather

Saturday was such a beautiful day and since I had a family cancel their session, I had my friend Brigette meet me with her kiddoes, Pearl & Coby, for some fun picture action! We loaded up the kids and took them downtown. We bribed them with candy and the park, and surprisingly enough, it worked! Pearl and Ella had tons of fun running around and Coby was excellent, as always! Little man will already be 9 months next week. Here's some of the fun stuff we got... hopefully the weather will be nice enough this weekend for some more pictures! I am exhausted from all this snow!!!

We have been trying to book a time for me to meet this cute little family, but somehow had a rough time. Originally we were going to do them at their house when the baby was born, but I am so glad we waited! Because we did, the weather got nicer and Ashley said she wanted BRIGHT outside pictures so I knew I was in Heaven with this shoot! We did a little bribing towards the end, but all that matters is that it worked :) The kids were great and the parents came ready to strike a pose. Here are several of my favorites... I've taken pictures of the other Thomas' in the family, but now I have finally gotten a chance to take pictures of this one! Brooke is Jenny and Sarah's sister-in-law. They are all such wonderful, unique, and funny girls and I have loved getting to know all of them. They are so lucky to all be together in one city for the time being.

Before today, I hadn't felt like I had touched a camera in forever (even though I really had), but I got a double dose today and had so much fun! The West Texas wind was definitely a blowin' all day! Even so, we managed to get the little man to strike a few poses before calling in a day! Thanks again Brooke! Glad you trusted me-y'all did awesome and looked fabulous on camera :)

Wow! I can't believe Christmas has come and gone and now it's 2010! We are finally back from visiting "home" and I am trying to get adjusted to my "normal everyday life". Well, I thought I would let you all know that we are having a sweet little boy!! We decided that we are going to name him Creighton Maverick Witt. We are so thrilled and can't wait to meet the little guy! I am a little nervous because I just knew it would be another little girl and I haven't yet prepared myself for buying blue :) I will get used to it soon though and will have TONS of fun buying boy stuff. For now, here are a few of the sonogram pictures. The 3d ones are a little weird and look like he has a hole in his head, but he doesn't ;) Hope everyone has a Merry Christmas!

Vacation

Yup, that's right! We are going on vacation... well, vacation from Lubbock, but nothing too exciting. Just going home to visit our families for a couples of weeks. I just wanted to remind everyone that I will be away from my computer until after January. If I owe you pictures or anything, I need to know by tomorrow 12pm. Otherwise, it will have to wait until after I get back :) I just wanted to remind everyone so that there was no confusion.

Also, we find out the sex of the baby on Monday, so I will FOR SURE let you all know as soon as we find out :) I can't wait!!! I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays! Not a Baby Anymore!

Miss Jade definitely isn't a baby anymore. She is already turning one on Monday! It seems like only a month ago that she was a teeny tiny baby! I got to take her 1 year pictures today and we did a few of the family too, but it was so cold outside (from the stinking wind) so we decided to take it inside and then shortly after call it a day. Winter wind in Lubbock is not pleasant in the least bit :) We went to Vintage Township to use their beautiful scenery and then we used their market center to do the rest. I just love this neighborhood! It's like it's own little city! If I could, I would buy one of those houses right now!

Thanksgiving

I love the holidays and I love Thanksgiving even more! I love all the food and I love that I get to eat it all and not be judged for all the food on my plate...even more now being pregnant and all! We are headed to Wichita Falls today to see our wonderful families and Saturday we are going to the Tech-Baylor game in Dallas. It's supposed to be a vacation when we go home, but it always ends up being way crazier and busier than when we are here! Oh well, we always have a blast so it's worth it. I won't be back until Monday so I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving and enjoys their time off! Best of luck to all you crazy people who plan to do some Black Friday shopping :) I am pretty sure I will be sleeping in!

Sooo I have to apologize to Brigette! In my rush to post her pics, I called Coby "Cody" the first time I said his name! I know it's Coby, but I guess my fingers were typing before my brain was telling it what to type, or I am dyslexic. Plus my brain really doesn't work these days! Chance just pointed it out to me so I hurried and fixed it, but definitely wanted to apologize! I already feel bad because Ella calls him the wrong name and then I made it worse! Agghh!!! Anyways, his name is COBY! I promise I do know it :)

Sweetsa Pizza, Baby Toba, and Family

This is one of my good friend here in Lubbock and her sweet little family. Ella just loves them sooo much. Brigette is definitely a second Mom to Ella, and I am pretty sure Ella would be OK with her being her only Mom, haha. She LOVES going to their house because get's to play with Pearl (or Sweetsa Pizza and she likes to be called:) and baby Coby. Ella can't pronounce his name, so she just calls him Toby and sometimes Baba Toba. We have tried to work on her saying "Coby", but it just doesn't come out right. Now she has rubbed off on Chance and Me and we always end up calling him Toby. Haha, I am sure Brigette just loves the fact that we have re-named her son, but it so hard to remember because we here Toby at least 5 times a day...did I mention how much Ella loves him? She seriously talks about him every days and multiple times a day. He is the reason why I KNOW she will be exited to have a baby sister or brother around. She loves trying to help Brigette take care of him... it's so sweet :)

I have taken Pearl's pictures before but this time she got to bring her beautiful family too! Thanks Brigette (and KC) for helping me out with Ella all the time and for being a great friend!

Well, most of you already know this, but for those of you who don't, we are expecting baby #2!!! I am due May 19th so I have quit a ways to go still, but I wanted to let everyone know why I have been a slacker here lately! I am finally starting to feel like myself again. WAY less tired and the nausea is finally going away too! There for a while all I wanted to do was lay on the couch and fall asleep! I had no energy whatsoever! Glad to be feeling better!

Ella is so excited to have a baby sister or brother... I am hoping for another girl and Chance is betting on a boy, haha. She says it's a girl and we are naming her "Guns Up"... boy does she have a big surprise coming when the baby gets here (in no way will it's name have anything to do with Texas Tech... not that I don't like Tech, just not going to name my baby after it :)

I bought Ella a "big sister" shirt to tell all our family we were expecting... they were all definitely excited to see it! It was such a cute shirt that I decided to take Ella out and get some cute pictures of her in it. Here are a few good ones of Miss E.

One Big Happy Family

I am really loving these gorgeous trees/area I found the other day. Here in Lubbock, you just can't find pretty trees that are actually taller than people and that aren't in someone's backyard! There are areas with big trees, but they are blah and look dead like 85% of the year!

I had a hard time choosing through all this family's pictures! Such a wonderful family and so hard to choose! I really enjoyed hanging out with them...reminded me a lot of my family who I don't get to see as often as I would like. Thanks so much for trusting me! Brooke-I will get in touch with you after Christmas... I am going to do some planning. Hopefully your husband won't be too mad :)

This family has to be one of the cutest and nicest families I have been around. The kids cute little faces are just too precious for words! I was looking through the pictures and looking at their facial expression in some of the pictures and I almost started to cry! The series where the 3 older kids were hugging each other was so adorable and sweet :) What can I say, I am sucker for cute faces. The older boy, Steven, reminds me soo much of my nephew, Chris, when he was younger. I think that's part of what got me! Anyways- if you ever want to know how to dress your family for photos, you should definitely check out this Mom's mad coordinating skills! She did such a good job of picking a color and matching everyone without wearing the exact same thing. Great job Kim!! Now, onto the cuteness...

We went back to Wichita Falls for Ella to trick-or-treat with all the kids in the family... Chance couldn't come with us, so it was just Me and Ella. Ella had a BLAST Saturday! I have never taken her before because it seemed like she was always too young, but this year I knew she was ready! She is really REALLY shy so I thought she would HATE going up to stranger's houses, but surprisingly enough she was more than willing to run up to their houses if it involved getting candy out of it! She ate it as soon as she got it... yes, I know I am not the best Mom... I did semi-check it before I opened it for her. I tossed out the candy that had a couple "Easter Eggs" on it... I guess someone had some candy left over, haha! Anyways, here are a couple of pictures of my little Ella! My Mom took more, but I forgot to get my Mom's disk before I left today! Once I get it, I may post most :)

They are both in medical school with Chance right now, so all of us girls stick together keeping our kids and houses in check while the boys are slaving over school :) Sarah is definitely "one of Ella's other Moms" here in Lubbock. She, as well as Kelton, have helped me a lot through these last few years and Ella just LOVES them and the kiddoes. It's nice to have friends that your kids feel really comfortable with. It makes me feel soo much better about having to leave Ella with them when I need to :)Sarah is what I like to call Super Mom and Kelton is definitely Super Dad. She is always on the go with her 3 kids and never complains about being stressed or tired! NO clue how she does it. I am waiting in line for the secret. One time Kelton watched Ella and Madison along with his 3 kids. He loaded all of them up in the van, took Autumn to gymnastic, took them to the Science Spectrum, AND THEN took them all to McDonalds! Haha I have no clue how he did it! I know I couldn't have!!! They are leaving at the end of this school year and I can't say that I am thrilled that they are done with medical school. They will definitely be missed here in LBK! Thanks Sarah and Kelton for trusting me with your kid's pictures and for all that y'all have done for me!

This little guy stole my heart! He is way too precious for words and he has hair that all boys would be jealous of! He is going to have the hair that "swooshes" over his eyes and all the girls will drool over it :)It was soo easy to take his pictures! He smiled like the entire time and even though he was on the go, he always paused to give me a "look" then kept going. Too cute! Rough Day

Well, this has been a VERY rough day! My friend watched Ella for me this morning while I went to an appt. When I went to pick Ella up, I brought lunch for all of us from Taco Villa, yuumm. I picked up the food and headed to her house. I was going to leave my phone in the car because I knew I would only be there for like 30 minutes or so. I decided to take it just in case and put it in my back pocket, leaving my purse behind. BTW I should mention... she lives in a really nice neighborhood. There is a "less nice" set of houses further east of her house, but even that is nothing too bad. Soo I got out of the car with like 3 bags and 2 drinks. Ella's drink was really flimsy so it was about to spill while I was holding it, but I still turned around and locked my car like 8 times! I went inside and ate then Ella and I left. We were there for roughly 45 mins. We headed to Target to get all our necessities and while driving, I reached for my purse to get a Kleenex and couldn't find my purse! I started freaking out because I KNEW it was in the car. I pulled over hoping that Ella had hid it from me or something, but I knew that wasn't possibly bc she can barely lift it, let alone lift it and put it in the back seat. Sooo I called my friend to MAKE SURE it wasn't there and of course it wasn't. Suddenly I remembered that when we were driving away from my friends, my car started to ding and say passenger door ajar... I thought it was odd, but assumed I opened it and didn't shut it all the way. Well, here is what happened. I DID for a FACT, lock my car door. However, my stinking key remote hasn't been working at 100% for a while now. When I lock or unlock my car it works sometimes and sometimes it doesn't I guess today, of ALLLL days, it decided not to work bc I KNOW I LOCKED IT. I clicked it multiple times, but stopped bc Ella's drink was starting to collapse in between my fingers, so I just kept going, assuming that after 8 clicks it would be locked. NOPE. After frantically canceling all my card and screaming a bit to relieve some stress, I went back over to my friend's to call the police. I filed a report, but that means nothing really. We talked to a next door neighbor and she saw a "strange man" walking up and down the street right by their house. She watched him until he started walking to my car... she was worried at first, but saw him go to my car and thought he was leaving. She never saw him get in my car or anything, but clearly it was him.

I had some business cards in my purse with a link to this blog soooooo if you are reading this (I doubt you are), I don't care that you took all my cash and I don't care if you keep the iPod... I just want my purse back, my wallet back, and all my stuff! you can have all the "valuable" stuff you want. I just want my make-up, my receipts, and all my daughters stuff! Once you spend the cash, you have nothing else of use. I have canceled my credit cards so that's it. You don't need my belongings anymore!

It's just creepy to think someone was in your car touching your stuff all while you were inside only feet away. To think that someone has my stuff and is probably going through it right now, really freaks me out, or that my driver's license is in someones hand. I just don't get it. How can my day be so unlucky while his is so "lucky". Apparently, there have been multiple break-ins in that area. Words of advice, leave NOTHING of value in your care... EVER. You will regret it later. Also, if you see strange people in your neighborhood, don't stop watching them! If they seem suspicious, call the cops!

To top off my day... after the cop left, my friend and I went and checked of a few of the dumpsters around the area HOPING my purse would have been left behind. With no luck, we went back to her house. I left my car parker in her drive way in the alley this time... I pulled halfway into the grass so she could get out. As I was backing out to leave, I was trying to get into the driveway and didn't do a very good job and ran right into their gas line. I frantically pulled up and saw what I hit and flipped out. Gas was spraying STRAIGHT into the air and it was sooo loud! We had to wait on the guy for like 45 minutes! LUCKILY, he was able to fix it at no charge to me and said we wouldn't be charged for the gas. Thank goodness! It would have been like 1000 bucks I bet if they had!

Those were the 2 big things... it seems like the rest of the evening was filled with bad stuff, but I won't bore you with my pity party anymore! I just wanted to give everyone a heads up about the thieves in this town! Chance's car got broken to at our house and I would say that our neighborhood is really safe too! It's just crazy!!

Well I hope everyone has a wonderful night. I have pictures of the cutest family to post tomorrow. They got put on hold for the day because of all this and for that I apologize! This cold and all this drama has brought me down! Back tomorrow for a new day :)

When Amber emailed me and said she was a photography major and wanted me to take her pictures, I was flattered but shocked. I was very nervous that it wasn't going to go like she wanted it to! Hopefully I was wrong and it went just the opposite! We split it up into two different session so we could get a different look with all the hair she has :) She was so much fun and definitely pushed me to do stuff I am usually too chicken to do (like climb WAY too high and even stand next to a spider web...of course there wasn't anything in it or I DEFINITELY wouldn't have done it :).

I have tons more from day 2, but my computer is starting to go crazy on me so I thought I would turn it off and let it rest for a couple of hours and then come back. Here are a few of my favorites...

Caroline is my friend Jenny's new baby! Her other daughter is Madison, Ella's BFF :) Ella would be very jealous if she found out I was hanging out with this sweet little baby and Madison the other day. Caroline did wonderful! She pretty much slept through the whole thing, which is the sole reason for getting newborn pictures done ASAP. They sleep through the shoot and I promise that is the way to go :)

Family Funday

With a little resisting (someone wanted to be at home watching the races :), I was able to put a few smiles on this family's face for a few pictures for their Christmas card. Yup, it's already that time of year!!! Can you believe it? Less than 3 months away and I am already stressing...mostly about where I am going to put all the toys Ella will get from her Grandparents!

Back to the real story... I got to hang out with Casey again and she brought her family along with her to join in on all the fun this time. Thanks Casey and Kelli for taking me around the town!

My Future Farmer

The last couples of weeks have FLOWN by! With family coming here and us going there, we have been super busy. Then Ella was sick this week so I have spent many hours babying her :) The horse races were a BLAST last weekend! Chance didn't win, which is very rare (he was busy watching the Tech game so he didn't care about betting). I, however, did! I actually won 3 different times! I didn't bet big or bet on anything special, but I picked the horse to win 3 different times! My secret? Picking out the prettiest horse all while hoping it had the highest odds (better chance to win more) and was dressed in pink (my favorite color) :) We had a great time and I can't wait to go back!

On Monday, before Ella got sick, we went to the fair for a WINDY day of fun! Ella LOVED the tractors and wouldn't get off of them, so I was actually able to get some pictures of her ( in her cute new cowboy boots I might add :). We went back and I tried to get her to ride some rides, but there was NO way she was going to be up for that, so we got some "lema-lade" and left to go to Target...her choice!

Last weekend we took Ella to her FIRST Texas Tech game! She was a little reluctant at first but had a blast once she got used to it. I dressed her up from head to toe and even made her do a little modeling before we left...she wasn't loving all the pictures this weekend. I guess I need to come up with some better bribing material!

Anyways, I love that she did well at the games because now I actually get to go and join in on all the fun! Plus, I get to eat all the yummy stuff from the concession stand :)

We are going again this weekend, so hopefully I can get some better pictures of the future Texas Tech Graduate (at least we hope).

It's always fun to meet other hard core Tech fans! While I am not a BIG fan of football, I do love Texas Tech and I LOVE the school spirit! This family definitely has some school spirit! They were all decked out in their red, black, and white and I LOVED it! Baby Graham even had some super cool Texas Tech shoes! We bought Ella a cheer leading outfit last week and I am so excited for her to get to wear it!

So where do Texas Tech fans wants to be photographed? Yup, you got it...Texas Tech! We had tons of fun walking around to all the cool statues on campus. Poor Graham had a cold so we did the best we could :)

Dalley Crew

I've known these girls since we moved to Lubbock... I met their Mommy, Krista, in a group for the spouses of medical students. Now that they have moved to Amarillo for their Dad's residency, Ella and I are definitely missing them! They will be living Amarillo for this year and then they are moving to BALTIMORE, Maryland so he can finish his residency at Johns Hopkins! Plus, she's expecting a little boy in November! She is a busy, busy Mom! I give her MAD props!

Brynlee and Addy are just the cutest and I love being around them. They are so happy and sweet all the time! Addy didn't care for me today. I guess she just doesn't remember me anymore. Last year when I was around her, she would run up to me with her arms open and wanting me to pick her up. Not today :( Oh well, she was still too cute!

Brynlee was cheesing it up like Ella all morning... I love it :)

Sooo got the results back and it's just as we thought it was. They ruled out anything bad...ulcers, cancer and all those exciting things. They couldn't exactly see anything "wrong" on the x-rays so they think it's just "minor" irritation on the esophagus lining. Which means that I have to take medicine to hopefully heal it and suck it up and deal with the pain! Oh boy! To say I am grumpy, is an understatment. I LOVE food. I am totally not the dieting type! haha so this is hard.

Hopefully it will go away within the next week. I have a busy next 2 weeks! I need to be well :) I'll be back soon to post lots of fun things!

Out of it AGAIN!

So if you didn't already know or haven't notices, I have a little bit of bad luck! A while back I was biting some candy or something and chipped a tooth in the far back. I didn't go to the dentist because it wasn't hurting, but when I went to get my teeth cleaned in June, they suggested I get it filled. I went back at the end of July and had the filling done. My dentist told me it was a difficult filling and I would probably be in pain. Well, that was an understatment. The tooth became abscessed and so for two weeks I was in the worst pain. I could barely eat or drink anything. They put me on antibiotics and gave me more pain killers, which helped a bit. I finally got a root canal done two weeks ago. WELL, that didn't help the pain at all... my tooth is still very tender and I can't chew on that side. A couple of days after it was done I was in the worst pain ever so he gave me MORE antibiotics. Here comes the fun part... last Monday I was taking one of these pills, and when I swallowed it, it basically got STUCK in my esophagus. Since that night, I have not had a single thing to drink or eat that has gone down with ease. Everything, even saliva, hurts to go down! You would think it would be nice to not be able to eat for a few day, but no, it's not fun at all. I went to the doctor yesterday and today I had to have TONS of x-rays done. Dr. Chance went with me and he said the Radiologist said it didn't look like anything SEVERE and that if it was a "minor" irritation (doesn't mean that i doesn't hurt), it would not show up on the x-ray. He was sending reports to my doctor this evening, so hopefully I will hear what I can do to FIX this in the morning.

So anyways! Just wanted to let y'all know where I have been the last week or so! I've been lazy because I have no energy! I pray that I can get some type of medication SOON to fix it. I will keep you updated throughout the process :)

This is Jesse, another one of Chance's cousins (also on his Dad's side). He is a graduating Senior in Grandfield, Oklahoma! We went and took some picture when I was in town last. My trips with people always end up being very entertaining...basically me making a fool of myself :) On this one, I went down a one way and had to have a guy riding a bike point and tell me to turn. Rather embarrassing! Downtown in all towns is always SO difficult! Why can't all the streets just be normal streets! It's like they are asking for wrecks! Heidi works for my Mom and got married a couple of weeks ago when I went home for my Dad's 30 year luncheon. She had asked my Mom to come to the wedding and take pictures, so since I was going to be in town, my Mom asked me to tag along :) I've never shot at a wedding before, so it was definitely a learning experience! I am not sure if it's even something I would want to pursue...I guess we'll just have to wait and see :) I am a pretty high strung person so it it was hard for me to not freak out for THEM during THEIR wedding (one of many reasons I didn't have a big wedding...stress). Haha I found myself starting to try to get everything set up and ready to go instead of taking pictures! Anyways, I had a lot of fun and learned a lot! I went through and randomly picked some picture to play around with and to blog for her.

BTW when I blog pictures, I usually try to do some that are just normal and colored pictures, and then I try to incorporate a few that are fun, crazy and/or different just to show a variety of what I CAN do if you want it :) Also, I promise to pick a logo and stick with it soon for my pictures. I am pretty indecisive, ask the girl who made my blog! I worry too much if things aren't perfect. Everything will be finalized soon! Plus, I have super cute business cards being worked on and will show them shortly.

Anyways, onto the wedding...

36 Weeks and Counting...

Meet the "Beers" from Lubbock....actually you already met Adriane a while ago when I took pictures of her by herself. She wasn't that far along then, but now she is definitely blossoming and should be having a baby in about two weeks. The poor thing has been on bed-rest for like two months now! I tried to look up exact numbers on her blog but couldn't find them, so we will just go with 2 months. Either way... it's been a LONG time! I would have never made it. I can't even sit on the couch anymore and watch TV without doing something while I am sitting there. I guess it's different when you have NO choice! Anyways, back to Adriane. We thought they were actually going to induce her Tuesday, but turns out, they are waiting a couple more weeks for his lungs to develop more. So thinking they were having a baby Tuesday, I rushed over Monday evening to get some belly shots. She couldn't go far, so luckily there is a corn field next to their house! Here are some of my favorites...we were very limited to what we could do and how long she could stand, but I think we did alright :)

I finally decided to pay someone to make me a super cute blog. At least twice a week I spend 1-2 hours in front of the computer trying to figure out how to design blogs or how to change up mine. I had a little bit figured out, but finally I gave up and decided to let someone else do it for me :) I found the website Krizzy Designs from my friend Tasha. I LOVED what she did to her blog, so I couldn't pass up on the opportunity for her to create me one! Originally I wanted something simple, classic, and modern, but instead, I went for COLOR :) Typically, it's what I would choose, but I always try to calm it down a bit. This time I failed. Hopefully it's not too bright for everyone! Let me know how you like it or if there is something I should change?! I plan on having Krystn make another one for my personal blog with the fun cartoon characters she used in Tasha's! I just love it!

BTW, I have been a little under the weather the last few days! I had some dental work done last week and because of it, I got an abscessed tooth. Saying that I am in pain, feels like an understatment. They gave me the good kind of drugs and I am still hurting! I am on antibiotics now so HOPEFULLY it will go away soon. Unfortunately, I have to get a root canal done now! Does anyone know of a good dentist here in Lubbock?! I have never been to one here, but I guess I am going to have to start.

30 Year Celebration!

Last Wednesday I went to a celebratory luncheon for my Father...he's been with United for 30 years! I said he started when he was 17, but he was actually 16! It was the second job he ever had. He worked at the Pepsi distributing company for a few months when he was 15...he lied and said he was 16 so he could get the job, haha!Anyways, I have to brag on him for a bit! After they are there for 30 years, they get a BIG prize...money, travel vouchers, or an awesome Rolex! He already has a Rolex (Mom is SUPER jealous) that he got for being a manager for 5 years so he told my Mom he was taking the money. Weeeellll he pulled a fast one on everyone and surprised my Mom with the Rolex instead of the money! HOW sweet is he!! My Mom was SHOCKED and soo excited! He's worked so hard for 30 years and gave his gift to my Mom. Talk about a tear jerker! Here is a picture of Me and my Dad. Someone took a picture of the whole crew, but I haven't gotten it yet! I would have taken more with my family, but I was in a rush to get to the dentist...which was NOT a good experience!

Tomorrow Ella and I are headed to Wichita Falls for a couple of days! My wonderful dad is being honored for being with United Supermarket for THIRTY years!! It was like the second place he has ever worked for! CRAZY huh! I think he was like 17! He has worked very hard to be where he is at right now and I could not be more proud of him! His hard work has definitely helped me learn what it takes to make it. I hope I still have his drive and patience when I am his age! Meet Casey! A senior at Texas Tech graduating in December! How exciting...seems like FOREVER ago since I was in college! It was only 2 years, but it feels like 10! Anyways, Casey brought her Mom along for this shoot and we had so much fun! I am sure they think I am crazy and definitely can't drive! I think I was having one of those "blonde" days! I managed to spend 2 hours with them and I actually got them back to their car safe and sound! I think that says something :) Thanks Casey for being such a good model! She was working it for sure! I may be calling you sometime to come out and model for me again! Get ready for a long post... and BTW, I really do take "landscape" (horizontal) pictures. It seems like all the ones I always pick to edit are vertical! I need to pay more attention!!

A WILD Adventure!

I don't know what was going on with me Friday, but it was like something bad was destined to happen while we were out! First, I stepped in duck poo (YUCK!). Then my camera went crazy on me ( I think Ella got a hold of it and made some changes. I finally got it figured out and as I was walking, my strap just like came undone! My reflexes are usually slow, but somehow I manged to catch my camera before it plummeted to the ground!! Anyways, besides me being a klutz, this family was so much fun! The kids were precious and really fun! I stole the rocking chair from my Mom! Such a good find - she's not getting it back either. Thanks Mom!! :) Debbie, thanks so much for everything. I really appreciate it and I hope to see your family again soon!

Anniversary!

Today is mine and Chance's 2nd year anniversary! We have known each other for about 10 years now! I met him before I was a freshman in high school! I can't say that we hit it off immediately :)(I was dating his good friend when I met him) We were both like 90 pounds and had teeth too big for our mouths! A few months later he chopped off his "flowbee"...yes, his Mom still has one and uses it to cute his Dad's hair ;)... shag haircut and picked up me and my best friend at the carnival and I think that was the day I fell in love...that's what Chance claims :)! haha, he looked so much more mature when he cut his hair! I think we started "talking" shortly after that. We were way too young for a serious relationship so we broke up, but actually started dating again when I was a senior in high school and he was in his first year of college at Texas Tech University. Because of this long year that we spent apart, we do surprisingly well if we have to be apart. We were together for a couple more years, but eventually parted a couple more times before we got back together and had our WONDERFUL daughter Ella. She was definitely our missing link. When she was 3 months old we got married in Las Vegas, Nevada ( a planned wedding) at the Venetian Hotel and Casino. It was a small and beautiful wedding and I wouldn't have had it any other way. For our 10th, maybe 15th, wedding anniversary we plan to re-new our vowels and invite all the people we didn't get to invite to the wedding :) We have to wait until Chance is a doctor and we can pay for it all on our own and not have our parents pay for another one, haha :) Anyways, here are some pictures from our wedding.... A Surprise Birthday Present!

When in doubt, I promise girls and boys, pictures are the way to go! They can be a great surprise for any occasion! I got to meet Sydney, Lauren, Taylor and Davis today because their Mom/Step-Mom called me the other day about getting their photographs taken for their Dad/Step-Dad's birthday present. She said he didn't have many pictures of the kids or any at all of all four of them together, so what a GREAT surprise! I am so happy you contacted me Areace and I loved photographing your children! On the way to this spot... I was driving down a road there were fields and abandoned buildings around and a like 3 foot long snake slithered across the road right in front of me! EEEEKK!!! My second fear after spiders! It was so creepy to see it going across the road!

WOW time flies! Jade was one of my firsts to take pictures of! She was so good at 3 months and just as precious and wonderful at 6 months! Ella would have been jealous if she knew that I got to hang out with a sweet baby today! Ella wants one of her own...any volunteers? :) It's always nice to have a happy baby where all you have to do is click a button and no matter when you click the picture is good! Tahna, call me ANYTIME for more pictures!!

I have more pictures tomorrow and then my in-laws are coming into town! I better start cleaning! I can't keep my house picked up with a Tasmanian devil running through here!!!

So I said I was going to blog about our mini "vacation", but after I got done typing, I realized I blabbed for way to long and I sure no one really cares :) So if you would like to see what I wrote, you can check out my "personal" blog where I posted it... there weren't many pictures, just a lot of talking so I didn't want to bore anyone.

We are finally back into our normal routine and craziness. Chance has started his 3rd year of medical school so it's been pretty hectic around here! We have definitely gone through some schedule changes. He's loving this year already though! Within the first week he assisted with multiple births, c-sections, and even got to deliver a baby all on his own! He was very excited! He went from a student to a doctor in like a day! I definitely feel like we can see the light at the end of the tunnel even if we still have at least 6 more years to go... I've got tons of stuff scheduled for the rest of July and promise to post it all! I found my lake pictures...not sure where I stored them on the computer. Here is one of Ella and me and a couple others I took of her the other day.

This is her new "smile". Not sure how it started, but I can't stop laughing when she does it. I am trying to teach her to smile like this at people when they are starring :) Is that mean or cute?

Ohhh ya! While we were away, we went to the Ft. Worth Zoo. Ella loved it! I actually took some pictures to show too! (Do you sense that I am a little scatter brained? It's 2 am and I am trying to get the rest of my stuff finished while the family sleeps. I hate having such a long list of things to do!)

We're Home!

Finally!! We are home! I have been unpacking for 3 days now and I am still not finished, ugh! We went shopping at my favorite store IKEA so I have been more focused on getting the new stuff up rather than un-packing the old stuff :) As much fun as we had being away, it is even BETTER to be home! I'll be honest...I did a horrible job of taking pictures while we were away! When I am around my Mom, I relax and let her do all the pictures taking. The only problem was that she wasn't with me the whole time, so I relaxed and no pictures were taken :( I am going to get the rest of the house cleaned up and get unpacked and I promise for a long post of all the fun places we went! Hope everyone had a WONDERFUL 4th of July!

The time has finally come!

Well, my friends, the time has finally come where Chance will take probably his biggest and most stressful test in medical school and maybe even ever! I will be waking up at 6:15 in the morning to pack his lunch and wish him luck! It's been 2 months of pure stress and single-mother-hood! Ella and I will both be VERY happy to get her daddy and my husband back! With this test being OVER, that means VACATION! Well, not exactly, but we are leaving Lubbock for 2 whole weeks to visit family, go to the zoo, visit a friend in Houston (maybe drive to Galveston) and attend a good friend of Chance's wedding that he will be in. He's been in more weddings than I have! I need my friends to start getting some rings on those fingers!!

Anyways, I probably won't be blogging anytime soon because I won't have my computer with me :( (I need a laptop). I will be back after the 4th and will have TONS to talk about and hopefully LOTS of pictures :)

Family Reunion

This past weekend I went to the "Schroeder Family Reunion"... my Dad's Mother's family. Thirteen out of nineteen of the Veitenheimer clan were there! Playdate Fun!

My friend Jenny and I love to get our girls together...they are so close in age so it's perfect for them to play together any chance we have! We had been talking for a while about letting them have a tea party. Both girls are definitely "girly girls" so we knew they would love it...and we were right! We found a cool place (inhabited by mosquitoes) and set up our tea party. They had a blast and kept wanting to pour the tea (apple juice) into all the cups and were very angry when we ran out! It's always fun to find new things for the kids to do! I know they enjoy it too :) Here are a few I took...

I keep playing around the size of picture I am using... I can't decide what I like. My computer screen is really big so the pictures always look too small on mine but I don't know how it looks on like a laptop or regular sized monitor. Are these size pictures too big for anyone or should I go down a size like the pictures in the previous post?! I want to make sure they fit on the screen :)

Meet my gorgeous sister-in-law Amanda. Ella's Ninna! She has legs for days and should have been a model! I am jealous! We got together a while back and took a BUNCH of pictures for her Mom, my mother-in-law, for Mother's day...yes, I know I am behind and these should have been posted a while back, but I had to wait until after Mother's Day and then I have had such a hard time going through them! I have been using them as experiments so I just hadn't posted them yet. Anyways, prepare yourself for MANY rockin' photos and some killer shoes... I have a shoe fetish if you didn't know. New Design

So I had a new design made and I am really liking it :) I was just playing around with it on my header last night and this is what I came up with. I am sure it will end up changing a couple of times before I find the one I REALLY like :)What do you y'all thing about the new logo?! And, if you have been wondering where I have been...

This is where...I have been trying for like 2 days to get this bike put together (well, this isn't the only thing I have been doing. It is just one of the many. It was definitely a pain but was totally worth it! I got it for my birthday from Chance and my in-laws! I am soo excited! It is a definite workout pulling Ella around :)

Let's just say that Ella is LOVING it! I am so glad it's summer! Finally, we get to get out of the house!

I met her cute little family through my sister's fiance, so while I was in town for my birthday, I did a little work! It was easy and fun so it was totally worth it! Ella and I finally made it back to Lubbock after a long birthday weekend! Had tons of fun and ate lots of cake! I have tons of stuff I am working on and will get everything together this week! I spent 3 1/2 hours at the doctor today getting my toe x-rayed so I am totally behind! It is DEFINITELY broken! Eeeekk! Making an appointment with an orthopedic surgeon tomorrow! This little one has the eyes to make someone's heart melt! They are SOOO blue! I didn't change the color of his eyes. They really are THAT blue... The ladies are going to love him :) We had ourselves a little adventure tonight! From blood to bees, we got it all. Hopefully James isn't mad at me for dragging him on that adventure. Don't you just love the name (pronounced Hal-lie)! I love fun and different names I have never heard! Hallie is another sweet newborn I got to meet last week. She was only about a week old!She was a bigger baby so she looked like she was about 3 weeks...perfect time for squeezing :) Her brother Caden will definitely be a ladies man. Miss Avery is about a month now and she is so tiny! I always forget how small they are when they come in this world! She looked like a sweet little porcelan doll. I was affraid to touch her because I didn't want to break her :) Her big brother Conner was just as precious! He loved the camera and LOVED his baby sister! I have met Kristy a couple of times at some functions for the Alliance I am in...it's an organization for the spouse's of medical students, but unfortunately never had the chance to hang out until Saturday! They are moving within the next month to Austin so her husband, Brian, can start his pediatric residency. Yes, they are two years ahead of us! He graduates next weekend and will officially be an M.D. Oh how lucky they are!! Time does go by fast, but the last two years have been REALLY SLOW when it comes to medical school and I can only imagine how long the process of the next two years will be! Thank you both for all the words of encouragement! It's SO nice to hear other's experiences that are further along in the process. It puts so many things into perspective and gives you hope that you AND your husband WILL survive :) Enjoy all the beautiful trees in Austin and the break from ALL THE WIND! I'm jealous!

Apologies

My apologies to the appointments I had to cancel :( Last night was filled with drama! I was on my computer and suddenly all the power went off in the house! I looked over and one of our plugs was sparking green and yellow! I totally freaked out and ran to grab my phone on the charger in the kitchen. While frantically trying to get to my phone for light, I walked right into Ella's miniature trampoline. One toe went one way and the other went another. A grosser part to the story follows but I won't get into details. Needless to say, once I got Ella out of her bed to make sure her room wasn't on fire, the pain started to sink it. As of right now, I have a green foot and can barely walk, so I am hopping on one foot. Definitely a work-out I must say. Anyways, I apologize to everyone! I seriously wished this did not happen! I have TONS to do this week and it doesn't look like I will get much done! Hopefully I can at least walk by tomorrow!

Meet Pearl... the cutest baby with the squishiest cheeks! She is one of Ella's friends, but Ella refers to her as "Baby" :) As I was posting these, Ella asked if she could go to "Baby's" house! Haha, she's never been over there so I have no clue why she thought about it! Anyways, Pearl just turned 18 months, so her Mommy wanted to get some fun pictures of her! She also has a baby brother that will be here in a couple of weeks...I bet it's sooner than later :) Brigette is going to have her hands FULL!
